One Man Behind Bars After Hit and Run Accident

A 19-year-old man is behind bars after a hit and run accident.
The Amarillo Police Department was called to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident in the 5300 block of East Amarillo Boulevard at 8:55 p.m. Saturday night.
A 22-year-old man was hit by a vehicle while walking westbound on Amarillo Boulevard. The man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle 19-year-old Samuel Jr. De Leon fled the scene without rendering aid but was later found and arrested for an accident causing injury or death.
