November’s Teachers on the Rise Winners
Mrs. Bairds Teachers on the Rise program is here to highlight the excellent work teachers do every day to make an impact on their students’ lives.
For November, the winner for the middle school category was Holly Ziegler, who teaches at De Zavala Middle school.
Her nomination spoke not just of her as a great teacher, but also as a guiding friend through bullying.
The writer, who will remain anonymous, shared that when issues would arise, Mrs. Ziegler was always there to show she cared and wanted to help.
She is well deserved for November’s nomination, for being there in and out of the classroom.
November’s grade school winner is Julie Gates from Clarendon Elementary School, and the high school winner is Chelsey Merrigan from Spearman High School, who has won previously in 2020.
