NNSA Cancels Pantex Contract

The Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security administration has canceled a 28-million -dollar contract award to Pantex plant and to the Y-12 National Security Complex.

NNSA officials say the contract was for solicitation for management and operation of both places.

Last year, the Government Accountability Office got protests against the contract award, and this year, the NNSA Took voluntary action to look to see if there were organizational conflicts of interest

The NNSA looked over the Procurement and the solicitation was canceled and the award was terminated.

The organization will rebid the contracts separately.
