NewsDayAmarillo Talks With AISD Superintendent About Covid-19

With Covid-19 concerns still taking place, the Amarillo Independent School District is making sure kids are prepared and well fed.

On Friday, the district sent out a survey to over 32,000 kids to find out the easiest way students can work from home and 25,000 has responded.

As of right now, AISD Schools are closed through April 3rd.

 Superintendent Doug Loomis is also reminding everyone school is still in session.

Superintendent Loomis says that school staff will still be reaching out to students in different ways to make sure work is getting done and seeing if they need help.

Loomis says that this is also a way to grow from weaknesses in the crucial and find ways for new learning.
