One Person Killed In Randall County Accident Friday Night
A Tennessee man was killed Friday evening around 8:33 on Farm-to-Market Road 1541 (South Washington) near Venetia Road. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 65-year-old Leland Bart Townsend of Selmer, Tennessee was northbound on Washington when he failed to drive in a single lane, left the roadway, entered the ditch, and rolled over. Mr. Townsend was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from the injuries sustained in the crash. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating.
