Bohannon Named APD Assistant Chief
Amarillo has a new Assistant Chief of Police and it’s a name familiar to many.
APD Captain Erick Bohannon was named Assistant Chief during a ceremony held at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Wednesday afternoon. Assistant Chief Bohannon has been with the department since 1993 and filled a number of roles in that time. He has served as the Patrol Division Commander since 2022.
Also promoted were Corporals Kaleb McCarrell, Jonathan Crum, and Ricky Taylor. All were promoted to sergeant.
Haley McGee was named as Police Business Services Manager.
