A listener sent in a couple of photos taken recently of the Madame Queen located just feet away from the Civic Center Complex’s north parking lot and the pictures don’t scream “take your photo with a piece of Amarillo history.” Far from it. Michael J asks a great question during this hour, “When this land was being discovered and settled, what was it that helped to determine where cities would be located? Here in the west/southwest, that would be cattle AND the railroad. So why would we allow an important link to Amarillo’s past to sit among overgrown weeds, just rotting away?
