Snack Pac For Kids Helps Local Students

As Amarillo ISD prepares to welcome students back to school, local educators are sharing a clear message: weekend food support can make a meaningful difference in how students feel, connect, and learn when they return to the classroom. According to Dyron Howell with Snack Pac For Kids, survey responses from over one thousand elementary, middle, and high school educators show the impact teachers are seeing firsthand. Educators reported 72% improved mood and temperament among students receiving weekend food support, a stronger sense of belonging, greater confidence and concentration and improved academic performance. Nearly 97% said Snack Pak 4 Kids® or Snack Shak is needed at their school again this year.

Weekend hunger doesn’t stay at home when a child walks into school Monday morning. It can show up as exhaustion, difficulty concentrating, changes in mood, or withdrawal from classmates. When students return to school fed and cared for, they have a better opportunity to learn, connect, and succeed.
