Amarillo City Council To Meet Tuesday
The Amarillo City Council will meet Tuesday at 3pm in the Council Chambers at 623 South Johnson. Among their Discussion Items they will hear a Quarterly Update from the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation, a proposed Ordinance to update Amarillo Municipal Codes regarding Obstruction of streets, alleys, sidewalks by trees and other vegetation, the North Heights Community Air Quality Monitoring Effort and a presentation of the Fiscal 2024/2025 Single Audit by ClintonLarsonAllen, LLP. The Council will consider a budgeted contract for Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc for an Aquatic Market Viability Study for $146,000. They will consider a resolution approving the expenditure of Hotel Occupancy Tax revenue by the Amarillo Convention and Visitors Bureau. The Council will also hold public hearings and consideration of the rezoning of several tracts of land and consider the award of a
construction contract to Wiley Hicks Junior to perform construction activities at three stormwater vault sites— Martin Road Lake, Thompson Park Lake, and Lawrence Lake. There will also be a time for public comments.
