Dalhart Man Killed In US 385 Crash Wednesday
24-year-old Mauricio Montes De Oca of Dalhart was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-car crash just north of Dalhart on US 385.
De Oca was exiting a private driveway and turning south onto US 385 when he failed to yield to a northbound cement truck. De Oca’s Silverado pickup was struck on the driver’s side. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the cement truck, 61-year-old Rudolph Martinez of Dalhart was flown to an Amarillo hospital with serious injuries.
That crash was investigated by the Texas Highway Patrol.
