Texas Tech Physicians Announce Deal with United Healthcare Insurance
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Texas Tech Physicians announced they have reached an agreement with UnitedHealthcare® Insurance Company. There will be no lapse in participation under the commercial and Medicare Advantage participation agreements with UHC since the effective date of the new agreement will be retroactive to April 1, 2026. TTP, the clinical practice of TTUHSC, opened discussions with UHC in early 2025 for the Amarillo, Lubbock and Permian Basin clinic sites. Martin Clay, TTP executive director, said the primary commitment has been to the health and well-being of their patients.
Patients covered by United Health Care can continue receiving care from Texas Tech Physician’s providers at in-network benefit levels.Patients with scheduled appointments do not need to take any action and should keep their appointments as planned.
