Motorcycle vs. Semi Accident Sends Rider To Hospital
According to a release from the Amarillo Police Department, officers were dispatched to Southeast 26th and the I-27 frontage road on a traffic crash involving a semi and a motorcycle just after noon Friday.
When they arrived, officers learned the motorcycle was westbound on Southeast 26th at the I-27 intersection and failed to stop for a red light. The semi was southbound on the frontage road at the same intersection and collided with the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
