WT Buffs and Lady Buffs Pick Up Wins Over UT Dallas
The #8 Lady Buff basketball team led wire-to-wire on Thursday night to pick up an 68-61 Lone Star Conference victory over the UT Dallas Comets at the First United Bank Center last night.
Randi Harding scored 14 points and recorded three rebounds. Taylor Haggan posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while also adding three steals. Kyla Kane collected 10 rebounds and contributed eight points. Kenadee Winfrey added seven points and registered four assists. Henley West made an impact defensively with three blocks.
The men played afterwards, and picked up a big win with great defense forcing 26 turnovers over the Comets, with a final score of 75-63.
Brock Mishak led the Buffs with 20 points, including three 3-pointers, and recorded four steals. Williams contributed 19 points, making six of six free throws. Brown added 15 points and collected four rebounds. Sledge posted two blocks and four steals, while also grabbing five rebounds.
Both teams will be back in action for their final road trip of the season against A&M Kingsville next Thursday.
