WT Buffs Back On The Basketball Court Tonight
Tonight, WT’s basketball teams will be taking on Cameron University to resume LSC play. The #7 Lady Buffs will take the court first looking to rebound after their tough overtime loss last weekend against Texas Woman’s 78-74. Cameron enters the week with an overall record of 2-18 with a 2-10 mark in Lone Star Conference action as they look to snap a three-game losing streak on Thursday. The Aggies are 0-8 so far this season inside of Aggie Gym with home losses to East Central, Lubbock Christian, Pitt State, Washburn, Angelo State, UT Permian Basin, St. Edward’s and St. Mary’s.
The men’s team will take over after that, as they need to get back in the win column after suffering five straight losses, dating back to January 10th when the Buffs won last. Cameron enters the week with an overall record of 6-14 with a 3-9 mark in Lone Star Conference action as they look to snap a six-game losing skid on Thursday night. CU is 3-5 inside of Aggie Gym this season with home victories over New Mexico Highlands, Lubbock Christian and Angelo State. The action will begin at 5:30, and will stream on FloSports.
National Signing Day took place around the area, as the WT Buff Football program brings in a deep class of talent from around the state, and especially here in the Panhandle. Standout names from the 806 include Damyen Cervantes and Daveon Woodruff from Tascosa, Shalom Gonzalez from Palo Duro, Garrett Splitt and Kaisen Benton from Randall, and top QB prospect Reid Macon from West Plains.
