Tuesday night saw some great basketball action, as we are getting closer to the end of the year. Airing on KGNC last night, Randall girls beat West Plains 54-33. 18 points for Hailey Hendrick to lead Randall, while Kennah Thomas scored 10. Haven Wheeler led West Plains with 15. Randall is 8-3 in district and WP falls 5-7.
On the boys side, West plains boys beat Randall 61-46. West Plains is a perfect 10-0 in District, while Randall falls to 5-4. Ethan Gilliam led WP with 20, and 12 for Kaden Hooker. Randall was led in scoring by Eddie Cruz with 11.
Moving to 5A action, the Tascosa girls and boys teams swept Lubbock Cooper last night at the Tascosa activity center. Starting with the girls, Alex Carter led the way to beat the Lady Pirates 51-33. On the boys side, Ladarius Godbolt (17 points) and Ben Kenny (13 points) had great games with double digit scoring to beat the Pirates 64-49. Both Tascosa teams maintain their first place spots in districts, as they get ready for another cross town matchup against Palo Duro this Friday.
