Newest AP Top-25 Poll Released

After one of the most historic weekends of men’s college basketball we have ever seen, one that saw every top-6 team fall, many expected there to be quite a bit of turnover in the top-25.

It turns out the voters didn’t feel the same way.

Despite lopsided losses Gonzaga and Arizona stayed at #1 and #2 in the nation respectively.  Baylor moved up to #3 after their win over then #5 Kansas.  Auburn dropped from #3 to #5 after their loss to then #17 Tennessee.  Duke, the only top-7 team not to suffer a loss this weekend, jumped up to #4.

An interesting thing to note about the voting: Duke had the second-most first place votes with 11, behind only Gonzaga’s 46, yet still only moved up to #4.  Arizona stayed at #2 despite not receiving any first place votes.
