Students whoa re a part of school marching bands will now need to get a physical thanks to a new rule form the University Interscholastic League.
The new rule requires 7th and 8th graders plus Freshman and Junior marching band students to get the physical which hasn’t been required in the past.
“This new rule goes into effect so soon that we felt a sense of urgency to let our patients and other parents know about the change,” FMC Vice President of Operations Trevor Spradling.
“For those parents who need to get in and out quickly, we’d encourage them to stop by any of our BSA CareXpress Urgent Care locations,” Spradling added. “We can handle walk-ins and offer online check-in, which can save you a lot of time in the waiting room.”
The UIL requires the physicals to be complete by August 1, which is quickly approaching.
