New Pavilion is Looking to be Added to Santa Fe Depot

During Tuesday’s City Council meeting, a new proposal was discussed to provide a new events pavilion with the Santa Fe Depot along South Grant street. 

Holding notably the Working Ranch Cowboys Association Championships in the fall, even the slightest halt in plans could hold up the venue before the championships. 

That became the case with an added plan to turn the pavilion into a multipurpose facility, giving more time to provide more information on this plan.

Still, the Associate Manager of the WRCA Leman Wall remains confident in the plan. 

Director of Facilities and Capital Improvement Jerry Danforth explains how well the department has worked with City Council despite the added pressure to come back with a broadened plan.  

There will be a meeting set for Friday afternoon to discuss a solution for the project.
