New Name and Gifts Given for Sports Complex

Kids, Incorporated recently announced that it will construct a multi sport athletic complex in Amarillo.

On Thursday they held a press conference at their warehouse to announce major gifts going into the project.

It was announced that Rockrose Sports Park will be the new name of the complex.

A donation of 2 million dollars was given by Amarillo National Bank with a second donation coming from Caviness Beef Packers.

To top off the gifts, a third donation was made by a silent donor which brought the final total of donations to 6 million.

Kids, Inc is embarking on the largest project in the history of the organization while providing playing space for both youth and adults.

President and CEO of Kids Inc Jimmy Lackey says we are lucky to have massive support in Amarillo.

The Rockrose Sports Complex will be located south of Loop 335 between I-27 and Coulter Street.
