New Herbicide Tolerant Sorghum Variety

It’s big news this week….there is now, officially, an herbicide tolerant sorghum variety!

Igrowth Sorghum from Alta Seeds is the first sorghum hybrid to be herbicide tolerant and it’s used in conjunction with the herbicide Imiflex. United Sorghum Checkoff Agronomist Dr. Brent Bean says he’s been getting a lot of questions on Igrowth, what types of weeds/grasses Imiflex controls, and if this variety is susceptible to sugar cane aphid.
