West Texas A&M has gotten a new executive chef. Chef Julio Rubio is a New Yorker resident that grew up cooking with his dad who was also a chef.
“I didn’t even know where Amarillo or Canyon were on a map, to be honest with you,” Rubio said. “I love the town, I love the students here, their constructive criticism and I love the school.”
He worked his way up through the Hilton Hotels International, learning various techniques in his 30 years of experience that he is bringing to WT.
Chef Rubio is excited and ready for this new experience in a place of Higher Education.
