New Bidding Process-Amarillo

Vendors submitting a bid to the City of Amarillo will find the submission process easier in the future.

Beginning June 3, The City of Amarillo will implement Bonfire, a new bid system, in its purchasing department.

COA Purchasing Manager Michael Lindley says Bonfire will allow bids to be submitted in a matter of minutes.

Normally addendums on the current system have to be mailed out to the vendors, and too many times the timelines are too close to bid openings.

Bonfire will allow for faster and easier bid submissions, increase participation, and reduce disqualifications.
