Navy Instructor From Amarillo Trains The Next Generation

Sailors in the Navy are among the most highly trained people anywhere, and training these individuals requires skilled and dedicated instructors. 

Much of this training comes from Naval Education and Training Command, where Navy Professionals train and mentor the next generation of Naval sailors. 

One such instructor is Petty Officer First Class Ezra Roark, who is native to Amarillo and graduated from Mojave High School in 2010.

Roark says that the navy values needed to succeed are similar to the values he learned from Amarillo. 

He serves as an instructor training new sailors to possess basic technical skills needed to become mission-ready.
