NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet

“Our Time, Our Future” is the theme of this year’s Amarillo NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet.

A press release by the organization says the local branch will be giving out more than 30-thousand-dollars in scholarships to area students

The keynote speaker at the banquet will be author/poet Kirdes Sirrah, and the event starts at 6:30 p.m., Thursday night at the Amarillo Civic Center Heritage Ballroom B.
