Multiple Amarillo Fires

Amarillo firefighters stayed busy Sunday night.

At 6:06, Sunday night, they were called to a structure fire at an abandoned one-story apartment building in the 100 block of South Monroe. When they arrived on the scene they found heavy fire coming out of two apartments.

They were able to knock down the flames and complete a search of the premises. There were no injuries and the Fire Marshal is ruling it as accidental.

The second blaze happened at 10:30 in the 1000 block of North Lincoln. The first unit on scene found heavy smoke coming from two medium-sized outbuildings at the rear of the property. The firefighters attacked the blaze from the outside And quickly brought it under control. No injuries are reported from this incident either and the Fire Marshals office has this one is under investigation.
