Motorcycle Crash Near Vega

The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking into an Oldham County motorcycle wreck that happened on Saturday, June 25 at noon.

The wreck occurred on I-40 just west of Vega, when a 2002 Harley Davidson driven by 66-year-old Robert Heinrich of Garber, Oklahoma, when the rear tire blew out

Heinrich lost control of the chopper, turning it on its side throwing both Heinrich and a passenger. He was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger, Denise Heinrich, also of Garber died on the scene. She was pronounced dead by the Oldham County Justice of the Peace.
