Most Common Passwords Remain Mostly The Same In 2020

It appears people aren’t making the effort to beef up their passwords.

Password management company Nordpass says the top ten worst secret words or phrases for 2020 is pretty similar to last year.

In the top spot is 1-2-3-4-5-6, with more than two-and-a-half million users. In second place is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 with nearly one million users.

There are only two passwords in the top ten that take more than a second to crack. One of those is picture1, which takes three hours to expose.

The other is senha, Portuguese for password, takes ten seconds to crack. Password itself also made the list, along with 1-1-1-1-1-1 and 1-2-3-1-2-3.
