Moore County Fatal Car-Truck Crash

One person is dead and another injured following an early Monday morning car-semi crash in Moore County.

The wreck happened at 12:15 a.m on FM 2589, Just before meeting up with the intersection with U.S. 87.

Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers say at 12:15 a.m., 61-year-old Carlos Ibarbo-Flores was traveling north on FM 2589 and coming up to the intersection stop sign.

A semi going east on U.S 87 smacked into after Flores car, a Mazda, did not stop.

The Mazda was knocked and landed in a ditch on U.S. 87, while the semi came to rest in the westbound lanes of the road.

Flores was prounced dead at the scene, while the driver of thye truckwas taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
