SOD POODLES WIN THIRD STRAIGHT, TAKE SERIES IN FRISCO

Frisco, Texas – The Sod Poodles used an offensive barrage and solid pitching to win a third straight game at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, getting by the Frisco RoughRiders 10-5 on Sunday afternoon. After dropping the series opener, Amarillo bounced back to win three consecutive games against the first place RoughRiders and win the series. The Sod Poodles return home to HODGETOWN tonight for the opening game of a seven-game homestand. First pitch against the Corpus Christi Hooks is at 7:05 p.m.

Koepka Wins PGA Championship

(Farmingdale, NY) — Brooks Koepka is celebrating his second-consecutive PGA Championship victory. Koepka carded a four-over 74 on Sunday at Bethpage Black to finish at eight-under for the tournament. The 29-year-old held on to beat Dustin Johnson by two strokes for his fourth career major win.

Raptors Knock Off Bucks, Warriors Go For Sweep

(Undated) — The Toronto Raptors are still battling in the Eastern Conference finals. Kawhi Leonard scored 36 points as the Raptors held off the Milwaukee Bucks 118-112 in double-overtime at Game Three in Toronto. Milwaukee leads the series 2-1 and will play at Toronto in Game Four on Tuesday. The Golden State Warriors can complete the four-game sweep on Monday as they visit the Portland Trail Blazers for Game Four.

Blues Blank Sharks, Take 3-2 Series Lead

(Undated) — The St. Louis Blues are one win away from reaching the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1970. Jaden Schwartz recorded his second hat trick of the playoffs as the Blues blasted the Sharks 5-0 in Game Five of the West finals in San Jose. St. Louis takes a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven set. The Blues will host Game Six on Tuesday. No games are on the schedule Monday after Boston swept Carolina in the East finals, four-games-to-none.

Cowboys Will Open OTAs Tomorrow

(Frisco, TX) — The Cowboys will open volunteer OTAs tomorrow. Dallas will hold 10 no-contact OTA workouts that end on June 6th. The Cowboys will begin a three-day mandatory minicamp on June 11th. Dallas will play its first exhibition game on August 10th against the 49ers in San Francisco.

Texans Open OTAs Today

(Houston, TX) — The Texans will start OTAs today. The Texans will have three volunteer no-contact OTA workouts next week. The final Houston OTA session will be June 7th. The Texans will have a three-day mandatory minicamp beginning on June 11th. Houston cut veteran tight end Ryan Griffin over the weekend.

FC Dallas, LAFC Tie

(Frisco, TX) — FC Dallas and Western Conference front-runner LAFC played to a 1-1 draw at Toyota Stadium. Dallas has 18 points in 13 MLS games.

Wings Fall In Preseason Game

(Undated) — On the diamond, Baylor is second-seeded in the Big 12 Tournament and will play Oklahoma Wednesday in the first-round in Oklahoma City. TCU is seeded sixth and will meet Oklahoma State Wednesday. Top-seeded Texas Tech will square off with Kansas State in its first-round game. Texas failed to qualify for the conference tournament after going 7-and-16 in Big 12 play. Texas A&M is seeded sixth in the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama. The Aggies will play Florida tomorrow.
