Medical Calvary Arrives to Help Overwhelmed Hospitals

The Texas Department of State Health Services said medical personnel should start arriving to help hospitals across the state on Tuesday.
Department of State Health Officials say the first deployment to Amarillo and Lubbock will include about 90 personnel.
They arrived yesterday to bolster the hospital staff and depending on the need additional staff can be expected in the future.
The staffing update comes on the heels as the state reported that Trauma Area A’s Covid-19 hospitalization rate jumped to 15.51 percent on Monday, August 16th.
