May Barrio Wellness Clinic To Be Held This Saturday

The next Barrio Wellness Clinic is planned for Saturday, May, 4th.

The clinic will be at Christian Heritage Church, 900 South Nelson from 9 to 11 am.

Medical and dental screenings and treatment of short-term illnesses will be done on a first come, first serve basis.

Free screenings will be offered to children and adults attending the clinic including blood sugar levels, weight and height, Body Mass Index, blood pressure, cholesterol, hearing, foot exams, and retinopathy.

The City of Amarillo Department of Public Health will conduct adult immunizations for flu, Tdap, Pneumococcal, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Meningitis in their outdoor mobile clinic if requested.

TTUHSC staff will administer pre-cancer colon screenings.

Ojo Family Eye Care will administer eye screenings.

Amarillo College Respiratory Care students will check for emphysema and asthma.

Haven Health staff will provide free pregnancy tests.

Amarillo Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics staff will conduct dental screenings for children, 6 months to 18 years old, and adults.

Sanborn Elementary School staff will serve as Spanish interpreters if needed.
