Martha’s Home Computer Lab Addition

A shelter for homeless women, Martha’s Home in Amarillo, is opening a computer lab to provide additional resources to residents.

Martha’s Home received donations of over $25,000 which will allow it to open the computer lab later this month.

Executive Director Connie Garcia says of the 22 women at the home, 18 are currently in the program.

The eighteen women are either getting a GED, going to Amarillo College, or enrolled at WT,

The education program, Present Needs Future Success, will continue classes in the new lab, and will provide an area for women to gain the knowledge to earn a living wage.
