Markets Increase After Vaccine News

The three major US indices all ended Monday trading in positive territory – with both the Dow and S&P 500 hitting new record highs on news that Moderna’s vaccine trial has been nearly 95% effective.
The Dow added 470, up 1.6%, to close just 50 shy of 30,000 – a mark it has never crossed.
The S&P 500 picked up 41 points, up 1.16%, at just under 3,627.
The NASDAQ also ended the day higher, gaining nearly 95 points, up 0.8%, to 11,924 at the closing bell.
