Margie Gonzales Seeks Place 1 Post On City Council

An Amarillo pastor is the first candidate to file for City Council Place 1.
Margie Gonzales, an Associate Pastor at VIDA Church and Chaplain at Heal the City, filed her ballot application Monday afternoon.
Gonzales earn a business degree from Baylor University in 1995 and has lived in Amarillo since.
Place 1 is currently held by Cole Stanley and he has not yet decided whether to run for a second term.
The filing period ends at 5 p.m. on Feb. 17.
The election is May 6.
