Manslaughter Charge Upgraded To Murder

The intoxication manslaughter charge was upgraded to murder Friday for 28-year-old Ulise De Lao.
He’s accused of hitting a woman with a car in a Canyon accident on May 27th.
Officials say De Lao struck 27-year-old Brittany Torres when she was standing outside of the car.
Torres was pronounced dead at the scene, and De Lao was originally charged and arrested then with intoxication manslaughter.
De Lao will be undergoing a mental health assessment on June 3rd.
