Man Shot In Attempted Carjacking

An attempted carjacking in Amarillo led to a man being shot.

At 6:36 a.m.Wednesday morning, police were called to the shooting in the 36-hundred block of Julian Boulevard.

Once there, they were told by witnesses that the victim had left the scene, and officers found him in the 28-hundred block of Sanborn Street.

Police were told that the victim was in his car when he was approached by another person who tried to take the vehicle, and thats when the shooting took place.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

So far there is no identity of the suspect at this time.
