Man in Jail Child Endangerment Charges

Potter County Sheriff’s have put a man behind bars on multiple charges including child endangerment.

Officials say at 1:15, Wednesday afternoon, a deputy was sent out to check on an animal welfare call on East Central. After a brief inspection, the deputy noticed a small child inside the home and no one would answer the door.

The welfare check turned up two more children in the home alone, aged one and two years old.

The children’s father, Fabien Silva arrived while the deputy was still there and that’s when they learned the children had been left alone for an extended period.

Silva was placed under arrest, for outstanding warrants and on Abandoning or Endangering a child.

Child Protective Services were called in to take custody of the children.

The case remains under investigation.
