Man Faces 7 Charges After Police Chase and Stolen Weapon

A man is facing 7 different charges after leading police on a chase Monday afternoon.

At 3:20 a man told police he had a gun stolen from him around southwest 3rd and Alabama street and was in a white Buick traveling westbound.

Officers were able to locate the suspect and vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Southwest 6th Avenue and Kentucky Street, when the suspect who was later identified as 34-year-old Daniel Mosher reversed the vehicle in the officer’s direction.

The Buick struck the front of the patrol vehicle and Mosher fled the parking lot, and the  chase continued through the San Jacinto neighborhood.

Mosher later left the vehicle and fled on foot in the intersection of Southwest 15th Avenue and Lipscomb Street but was later detained.

While detained, police found the stolen firearm plus several prescription pills that did not belong to him.

Mosher was also found to have a parole warrant for aggravated robbery charge and was later booked into the Potter County jail for evading arrest with a vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft of a firearm, evading arrest or detention and possession of a controlled substance.
