Man Arrested In New Orleans For 2017 Murder Case

New Orleans Law Enforcement has arrested a man in connection to a 2017 murder that happened in Amarillo.

On March 9, a murder warrant was issued for the arrest of 52-year-old Anthony Carter out of Potter County for the murder of 26-year-old Alicia Rashawn Burks who was shot in her home.

The Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit investigated the case, and with the help from FBI, United States Marshal Service, New Orleans Police Department, Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Department and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Department all assisted in the arrest.
