Man Arrested Following Weekend Shooting In Pampa

31-year-old Omar Saldierna was arrested over the weekend following a shooting in Pampa.

Pampa Police were called to the area of East Kingsmill Avenue and North Lowry Street in the early hours Sunday morning. A 911 caller said someone had been shot.

Upon arrival at the scene, police found a 31-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the chest. She was originally taken to Pampa Regional Medical Center before being transferred to another area hospital.

She is said to be in stable condition.

Saldierna left the scene before police arrived, but later turned himself in to the Gray County Sheriff’s Office. He was then turned over to Pampa Police.

He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and injury to a child.
