The New England Patriots have all the recent Super Bowl titles and experience behind them, but the Madden NFL 19 simulation of next Sunday’s (February 3rd) Super Bowl 53 matchup has the Los Angeles Rams beating the Patriots. EA Sports’ popular football video game’s simulation yesterday (January 28th) had L.A. beating New England 30-27, with Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald sacking Pats quarterback Tom Brady four times and hitting him seven times to win the Super Bowl MVP award. Take it all with a grain of salt, however, because the Madden simulation was wrong last year, predicting that the Patriots would beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-20, and instead the Eagles won 41-33. Since the annual forecasts began, Madden NFL has correctly predicted the Super Bowl winner 10 out of 14 times.
