Congressman Mac Thornberry was in Amarillo Friday afternoon to address the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) to give a Washington update.

Thornberry answered questions on border security and defense spending.

With news of the first –quarter gross domestic product showing a 3.2% growth, the first time the 1st quarter GDP has topped 3% since 2015, we asked the Congressman what this means to the families and business in the area.

Thornberry added that if trade and tariffs issues can be resolved, the country’s economy will continue to grow in the final quarter of the year.
