LWV Celebrating National Voter Registration Day

The Amarillo League of Women Voters will be celebrating National Voter Registration Day.

On September 19th, the League will be registering voters at Amarillo Public Libraries, including the Downtown location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Northwest branch from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The LWV will also be at the Southwest branch from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the East branch from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the North Branch from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

To register to vote, you must be 18 years of age or older, be a citizen, and not have any felony convictions, or have completed your sentence.

Deputy registrars will only register people in Randall and Potter counties.

In 2022, the league registered over 600 voters.
