LOUD AND CLEAR! Three New Amarillo Independent School District Board Of Trustees Chosen

Three new members will sit on the Amarillo Independent School District Board of Trustees.

Dick Ford finished first in the race with 23% of the vote, followed by educator Kimberly Anderson with 16%.

Alonzo Everhart took the final seat with 15% knocking out 17-year board member Jim Austin and John Betancourt who has served four years. Both received 13%.

We spoke with Everhart, who along with his wife Vanessa have two children who have gone on to success after attending AISD schools, and one a freshman in high school.

 

Current AISD Board President Scott Flow did not seek another term.
