(Spokane, WA) — A lost dog who braved the wilderness in Washington state for 43 days is reunited with her owner. Judy Campbell’s pug cattledog mix named Cookie apparently has anxiety issues which led to her fleeing and remaining missing for a month before she was adopted back in 2017. In January, Campbell took Cookie to the vet to get a rabies shot, but as soon as she was outside she fled. Campbell had to hire a private dogcatcher who was able to track Cookie down and capture her after a 60-hour stakeout. Campbell was reunited with Cookie last Tuesday and says although Cookie is much skinnier than before, she is eating well and is happy to be home.
