Local Named to Governor’s Board

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed eight Texans to the Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, and one is from our area.

J.Pat Hickman of Canyon is chairman and CEO of Happy Bancshare incorporated. He previously served as chairman and vice chairman of the Independent Banks Association of Texas.

The corporation markets Texas to business to let them know they can “Go Big In Texas”.

All appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.
