Liquor Stores In Amarillo to Close 61 Hours Over New Years Holiday

All Texas liquors will be closed for 61 hours over the New Years Day holiday.

According to Texas law, if a holiday falls on a Sunday Texas liquor stores must be closed the following Monday.

The law has the backing of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and all liquor stores in Amarillo will be following the rule.

After the stores close on at 9:00 p.m. Saturday night, you won’t be able to buy liquor until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.

This rule only applys to Liquor stores and not to convenience stores like Toot n Totum and gas stations that carry beer or wine.
