Lineman Killed Working On Restoring Power

Xcel Energy has confirmed the death of a lineman during last night’s wind storm recovery efforts near Hereford.

The incident reportedly happened around 8:30 p.m.

According to Xcel Energy spokesman Wes Reeves, the company is working with authorities to determine the cause of the accident.

They also extended their thoughts to the lineman’s family and coworkers.

Details are limited, and no information on other injuries or deaths during the efforts have been reported.
