Large Meth Bust on I-40

A DPS traffic stop on I-40  on Monday lead to a vehicle search and the discovery of Meth.

The driver, Mercedes Harris-Karto, told officers prior to the search that the K-9 unit would find marijuana.

Drug possession charges were filed on Tuesday by federal prosecutors for driving a car that contained $135,000 worth of methamphetamine. 

She told officers this was her first trip from New Jersey to California with drugs.
