After some much needed rain over the past few weeks Lake Meredith has reached a depth of 75 feet.

This is a drastic improvement compared to low depth of 25 feet the lake experienced during the years of drought in the Texas Panhandle.

With the rise in water levels Texas Parks and Wildlife have had more fish stocked in the lake.

Approximately 177,000 smallmouth bass, 137,000 largemouth bass, and 3 million walleye were introduced into the lake with in the past few weeks.

The lake will not only offer great fishing but recreation for the summer to come.

Additional docking spaces for boats is expected to be installed, to accommodate for a busy season.
